The Main Line

The Main Line opened on March 21st, 2014 after the owner, Amy, noticed that there was a great deal of talent in the area but a lack of venues for artisans to sell their arts and crafts outside of festivals. Amy decided to open The Main Line as a way to support the local community of artists and crafters. Re-purposing and resale has been in Amy’s blood for most of her life, she grew up watching her mother up-cycle furniture and would sell things with her grandmaw out of the trunk of her car when she was young. The name, The Main Line came from the streetcar line that ran from Burlington to Graham in 1911, which is rumored to have been referred to as “The Main Line.” The name was a perfect fit for the store because we like to say that we bring the locals together.
